SDG 1 No Poverty
What does SDG 1 involve?
By 2030, no one should still be living in extreme poverty. In other words, no one should have less than 1.90 US dollars per day to live on. In addition, all countries must work towards stronger systems of social security. Social systems that support people who cannot participate in the labor market due to unemployment, illness, old age, or disability. Finally, everyone should have access to economic resources such as land, technology, financial services, and employment.
How does Breedweer implement SDG 1?
By sustainably guiding vulnerable groups towards employment. That is our primary goal. In this way, they can ultimately provide for their own livelihood. We give everyone the opportunity to develop themselves. As a social enterprise, we achieved PSO Level 3 on the Social Enterprise Performance Ladder in 2020. A large part of our workforce consists of people with a distance to the labor market. Everyone matters, regardless of religion, skin color, or background.
