Being "Declared Unfit for Work" Doesn't Tell the Whole Story – Focus on What You Can Do
In this episode, Angela shares how she almost ended up spending her days on the sofa. Although she was officially declared 100% unfit for work because of a lung condition, she chose to take control of her own future and started working full-time. Rather than focusing on what she cannot do, Angela prefers to focus on what she can.
She uses her own experiences to encourage and inspire colleagues, helping them to keep going when life becomes challenging.
At the Tilburg cemetery, Inge and Angela have an emotional conversation about Angela’s time working in the funeral industry, where the emotional weight of the work consumed so much of her energy.
The episode concludes with a touching performance by Angela’s husband, singer Theo, who dedicates the fitting song Heel mijn leven (“All My Life”) to her.
