De Ridder Cleaners from Hoorn joined DeFaCo Holding B.V. at the beginning of this year, the parent company of, among others, Breedweer Facility Services. The acquisition ensures continuity for clients, creates new growth opportunities for the team, and marks a shared step towards greater social and sustainable impact.
The North Holland family business, founded in 1999 by Freddy de Ridder, will continue to operate under its own name. Clients will continue to see the familiar faces and receive the trusted service they know. By joining DeFaCo, De Ridder Cleaners gains access to a broader network of social enterprises, additional expertise, and greater organisational strength.
Working Together to Create Impact
Freddy de Ridder: “This step feels like a natural next phase. We will continue doing what we do best: providing cleaning services with care and craftsmanship. But now with even greater strength to further expand our social role.”
DeFaCo Holding operates throughout the Netherlands through various companies, including Breedweer Facility Services, De Ster Business Services, Jaro, Ictoria, and Xtoria, creating opportunities for people who face barriers to the labour market.
Commercial Director Jack Stuifbergen: “We use our services as a means to create impact. The addition of De Ridder Cleaners gives us even more opportunities to create impact on a larger scale.”
Innovation with a Human Focus at De Ridder Cleaners
Freddy de Ridder started working as a window cleaner at the age of fourteen and built his company from the ground up. Among his innovations is the “Waspak”, an ergonomic harness designed to make the work of window cleaners easier and healthier.
For many years, De Ridder Cleaners has demonstrated that innovation and good employment practices go hand in hand.
Made Possible in Part by FNO
The acquisition was made possible in part through the Impact through Growth programme by FNO. This programme supports impact driven enterprises with the resources needed to help transform traditional businesses into organisations that create greater social impact.
